Mine needs to be unlocked...Rain is the key!
I just got back from my spring trip to Lee Creek. The collecting area is huge, and has lots of good looking Yorktown, but it still needs a little help from mother nature to expose even more treasure in them there hills!!
My Sunday adventure went well...as there is no such thing as a "bad" day at Lee Creek. The chance to pull out a pristine monster meg or other rare tooth is what drives all to the mine. Some highlights include a super, super tiny meg...perfect and by far my smallest, a reworked 3.5" meg ( its still a meg and whole!), and a some decent makos highlighted by a colorful 2 5/8" monster. Quality verts, bones, shells and mammal teeth can usually be found on my trips in...did I mention there is no such thing as bad day Lee Creek.
Once again thank you to PCS phosphate, George, Pat and the crew. My trips in are always fun and my favorite fossil adventure of the year!
