Trip 4-3 Chippokes State Park

First trip in a long time to get out and do some hunting. I decided to bring some help in the form of my youngest son. The catcher was that we brought fishing poles so he could do some fishing while I hunted. I also caught him doing some hunting . Hit the beach about 9am. Well we did find a few teeth (sand tigers,ect.) but had no luck with any fish. Well at least I had a great time. A mother with her son and daughter come walking by and asked if we caught anything to which I said no but we did find a few shark teeth. She said they were just talking about them so I pulled out the few I had and gave all but a couple to them (about 4 teeth). They were happy and now knew what to look for. We decided it was close to time to leave and as we were going I could see a man and his daughter stopped on the path looking at something so I wanted to see what it was and sure enough it was a snake (black rat snake) about 5 ft long give or take 6 inches. I put down all my tackle and got my camera out and took some pics. The mother with her son and daughter started walking up when my son said look its a snake. The mother stopped in her tracks and made u-turn and decided to take a different path. I think the snake was at a red light waiting for traffic to clear before it could go . After me and my son got about 10 yards from it the snake crossed the path and went on about his business. And we called it a day. Steve
