2010 Season Summary It is hard to believe my fossil hunting hobby only began in earnest May of this year. I am now hooked and spend much of my time looking. I have graduated from land searches, having been SCUBA certified a few months ago thanks to lowcountrydiving, and have joined the ranks of murky river divers. I have met some great new friends to enjoy my searches with. I have searched hard in Charleston, Dorchester, and Colleton Counties and have had many unsuccessful days as well as some more successful hunts. I haven't been great about posting my fossil trips and so thought I would post some of the better finds in an end of the year summary. I think I might have a few more hunts yet this year, but the waters are getting quite chilly. I have pictures of a pair of 4+ Angustidens (total of three 4+ found this year, posted one a couple of months back), assortment of smaller angustidens, thresher and benedeni (two with side cusps), a couple of nice sized mako and three of my better points. I didn't post it, but out of a great many pipes I found, I found an intact clay freemason pipe bowl with the freemason symbol and a bird on it.
