Fossils in Gangland

We woke up a little later than I hoped this morning. I had hoped to be awake by 6:30 am so we could be at the creek as soon as it got bright enough to see. Well, 9:30 rolled around and the weezling was pretty depressed. He really wanted to go, but he didn't wake up in time either. I hate seeing my boy in fossil depression so I agreed to take him anyway. Maybe we would get lucky and everyone else would sleep in, too. We go to the creek and found that nobody had been there yet after the previous night's deluge. Our finds started immediately with both of us bagging quantity as well as quantity. It was around lunch time by the time we go to the end of the creek and we heard gunshots. Yes, this particular creek is not in the best neighborhood and it seemed that the lawless were rolling out of their malt liquor induced stupor so we left pretty quickly for another location.
