Last hunt of 2009-December 30--Brrrrrrr!

We came back to Summerville on December 30 bring in the New Year and enjoy milder temperatures than cold Pennsylvania but it came along with us and stayed. I got out in the afternoon to walk a nearby ditch and did suprisingly well. A 3 3/4" Meg and a nice Croc tooth were welcome finds. The next week looks even colder--brrrrr. Happy New Year to everybody at BRF.

Thanks dw, it was a combination of luck, high water and cold. Also, I wasn't there 10 minutes and the no digging enforcement official checked me out.

I continue to be both a bit blown-away and a bit jealous that some of you folks can simply "walk a nearby ditch" and find anything... much less such a nice Meg and croc toof ! Its bad enough to live a few minutes drive from a productive beach, black water diving site, or nice stream. To find goodies like this in a simple ditch....?! Lol, lucky dogs!!
