Megalodon Says it All!This one is to be remembered. Indeed. I had a chance to hunt with my serrated buddy DW et al at a land site in the Lowcountry, and of course to practice busting out some dope rhymes. We are fortunate enough to be able to sift the fossil bearing formations due to this sites proximity to ample flowing di-hydrogen monoxide. This site has produced pristine teeth, and also has a reformulated “lag” layer. Weezling has found a worn meg in this location on a previous trip, so we had a hunch that bigger meg teeth were possible. This day proved it. I was filling my sifter and noticed a larger piece of what I thought was phosphate (pronounced Fosszphate)…thought nothing of it and added more layer. As I started to rinse the sifter…the rock appeared like a root of a tooth…no way…one more shot of water and a massive meg popped out! This tooth is from the aforementioned reformulated layer, but had excellent preservation with bourlette and serrations. After the BRFC drool streams were shut off, back to sifting…DW bagged a sweet fish jaw, T$ a pristine cow (and tiger) and Weezling the first sand tiger from this location. Victory Moe’s followed, naturally!
