Let Us Remove Paleo-Treasures (and Artifacts from the Antebellum Era)
DW , Weezling and I made a mid-week run to the tannin-stained Edisto River a few weeks ago to search out new spots, and, of course attempt to rack! We packed in the Summerville Frontier (official truck of BRFC) and geared up quickly....the scorching SC heat had made the river "parfait" with a pleasant temperature and nice vizo. I stayed back and found some newly exposed grav-elle beds and scored a gem 1-inch angustidens that had decided to rightfully and lawfully suceed from the layer. Although I wasn't aware of it, I worked over to the dugong area bequeathed to DW a few years back. I fanned out several ribs, vertabrae, and then a nice molar. I headed up river and we both swam around looking for fresh layer. DW popped up and stated "I think I found a pipe"....shonuff...he had a complete pipe from the land of cotton circa 1861! Great day in the mornin! I moved up to a deeper spot and it was loaded with large rocks and bones...I bagged 3 angys in about 10 minutes. I kept fanning and found a large angy with a tip ding but not too shabby. A victory Moes followed a beautiful collecting day in Dixie!! 1 available
