Think we're going to need a bigger boat !Well I decided to go diving yesterday...the water is getting cold because of all the frigid temperatures we have been having lately, but I won't let that stop me. As soon as I hit the water I felt how much colder the water has gotten. I descended to the bottom in anticipation of what I could find waiting for me on the bottom. I found some smaller teeth within minutes along with a 4-3/16 inch Meg near the end of the dive...Out of air so I surfaced, floated back to the boat, and grabbed my last tank and got back in...I dropped down and the visibility was getting worse...basically 6 inches. The tide was coming in and had stirred up the sediments. I started feeling around in the muck and started finding broken tooth fragments and bones. Then my right hand felt a vertebrae as my other hand felt something else...Could it be...I pulled it under my light and I could make out a triangle shape through the cloudy sediment. A Big Meg... When I surfaced I saw it was a killer. It measures just over 5-5/8 inches and is serrated. Definitely made the cold water seem a little warmer !
