Anniversary DivingThe look from my mother in law was one I had seen before. I struggled to hold back my smile as I explained to her that for our anniversary I was not taking her daughter to Venice, Italy but to Venice, Florida which, I tried to convince her, was better. That we would be scuba diving for bones and teeth from long dead critters didn't help my position as I continued along passionately describing how we would spend a night in the boat and have two whole days of diving. Sounds like a Honeymoon to me!
Anyway, we found lots of meg teeth, whole and broken. Also a few mammoth teeth pieces, horse teeth, and other odds and ends. Most of the pictures are from the boat. This was my wife's first fossil dive and she did great. After I pointed out a couple teeth she started finding them left and right and said she had much more fun than she thought she would. I reminded her how lucky she was to be married to a fossil hunter and me in particular. She mummbled something not appropriate for a family forum.

When we got home the wife wanted to go fishing but I was stuck in shark tooth mode. I still found some, they were just a little "fresh". |
