That other mako looks nice too, plus, it looks like you found a nice posterior meg. Nice ray spines too! I look forward to seeing your reports! Hey DBTB, have you seen the fossil ID thread that I started that shows what seem to be some sort of fish bones? Have you found any of those too?

I guess that tooth could be a Carcharinus tooth though, maybe a bull shark, but it looks like it has a bourlette to me. I guess I'd need a better pic.

Yeah, it's a Carcharinus. I had to download to see a close up of the tooth. There's a nutrient groove. Anyway, nice makos!

I beleive you wer the one that responded to my intial email about starting to fossil hunt in surry on the shores and cliffs of the james River Surry Side. I have a nice stretch of private beach my aunt/unlce owns just south of the ferry surry side near chippokes state park. Did you find all those teeth that day? do you just walk and see them with a kene eye? any digging involved. what about the cliffs on the side? anyway that was not our boat that went down off the coast of VA beach, i heard it was a flat bottom boat that should not have even been out there in the first place. take care and look forward to talking with you and maybe see you in the feild

Hey DBTB, What kind of tooth is that above the 26? I have found several of them, but they all vary slightly. I was thinking it was a lemon shark, but then again... what do I know... :)
