Isurus retroflexus Oligocene Mako Shark ToothThis is a little gem of a tooth that is a very good example of the species Isurus retroflexus. Its tough to see from the photo, but the blade is flattened, which is one of the keys to differentiating this species from Isurus desori, another Oligocene mako shark that has very similar looking teeth.
