Fossil Mako Shark Tooth When I got this puppy home, the first thing I did was measure it. I tracked sand and mud all over the house in my impatience. It turned out to be 2 7/8 inches! Almost!!! How could I be disappointed with this tooth, though? Its massive, its complete, its got great color. Most of the makos we find in Summerville had severe root rot or no root at all. This is a centerpiece of the Isurus hastalis collection!
