2 3/8" Mako Shark Tooth

Without a doubt one of the best makos I'll ever find. It was the best of the trip for me in the fall season of 2003 at the PCS Phosphate mine in Aurora, NC.
Location Lee Creek Mine, Aurora, North Carolina, USA
Species Isurus hastalis
Age Pliocene Epoch
Formation Yorktown Formation
Category Shark Teeth
Length 2 3/8 inches

ID1224
Memberdw
Date Added9/28/2003

I found this beautiful dagger just teetering precariously on the edge of the Yorktown. It almost fell out, but hung on to get its picture taken.
