Edisto River Megalodon Shark ToothThis megalodon tooth was without a doubt the most unexpected surprise of the dive. Normally we are looking for the Oligocene giant white shark teeth - Carcharocles angustidens. The area of the South Carolina Lowcountry that this part of the Edisto river cuts through is not well known for nice megalodon teeth, but sometimes we get lucky.
To date, this is the biggest & best megalodon tooth I've found in the Edisto river.
