3 15/16" Angustidens ToothThis tooth, dug directly from the Chandler Bridge at the Big Ditch is just about the best large angustidens I've ever seen. First off, its huge. Its only 1/16" short of 4 inches, so this is about as big as these teeth get. The root is awesome. It has no chips or dings - just some stress cracks which are common on large teeth. There is a tiny bit of pitting, but still, its not enough to make a big deal out of. Next, it has fantastic serrations. Not a single one is missing. The cusps are awesome, too. They are as flawless as they get. The bourlette is 85% complete - also uncommon on large teeth. And finally, the best feature, the tip. I hardly ever see large angustidens with an intact tip. This is truly a fantastic find!
