Pathologic Angustidens Shark Tooth

I really love pathologic teeth, but I find so few of them that its a real treat when I bring one home. Especially a big one like this.
Location Dorchester County, South Carolina, USA
Species Carcharocles angustidens
Age Oligocene Epoch
Formation Hawthorne Formation
Category Shark Teeth
Length 1 7/8 inches

ID1784
Memberdw
Date Added6/13/2006

Angustidens don't normally sit on their roots like this.
When I first found it, it was laying in the layer like this. I thought it was garbage initially. Further inpection revealed my gross under-estimation!
