The Lee Creek ShuffleAfter reading the reports from the previous weeks finds at PCS I couldn't wait for my turn. It seemed to take forever for the week to pass. The daily ritual of checking the weather channel and hoping for torrential rains during the week before my trip never came about. The morning of the trip I ended running late. Luckily there wasn't a trooper in sight. I made it just in time for the reading of rules, and on the bus we went. The collecting area was alot larger than last seasons, but with no rain I the knew it was going to be tough especially with M4s
thorough cleaning the week before. I decided to try something different, instead of going straight to the crawl I was going to go on a slow walk of the area just looking for the big one. That walk took just over 4 hours and all I managed to get was a half a bucket of vertabrae and a couple of ear bones. I spent the rest of the day on a pile of Pungo. I did find a couple of nice 1-7/8" mako's , the one is a sweet little lower. Also a nice assortment typical Lee Creek teeth. All in all still a good day.
