Point Break

The fossilin has been a little sparse lately, so I decided to take the Fossz boys artifact hunting. This time we hit some older spots I had hunted BC (before children); about 9 years ago. Some were a little overgrown, but there was one spot available. It had rained the night before so we strapped on our boots for some muddin. After about 30 minutes I spotted a notched base poking up. Denied, a broken Kirk notch. Both boys bagged ragged blades and we were also finding some flakes. Minifossz spotted a small quartz point (his first) and was ready to do a Texas sized yahoo. He showed off his find and I noticed the base was fluted. A bit of shame-er thought since it too had a broken point. No whole points today but it was nice to get out.

Good deal, my boy loves to go looking with me. I will never forget his first tooth or his first point. He in only six, but he is hooked. He had his classmates shocked on show and tell day. Thanks for the report. I love hunting for arrowheads almost as much as shark toothin. Content Quality : 10 of 10
