Danke HaizahnjägerMy first time at a new spot scoping out the layer after a heavy rain ended well. I hunted for about 3 hours, walking in and out of ditches, ravines, mud holes, pits, and roads produced quite a haul of fossil shark teeth. More importantly, I was able to see where the live digging was going on. That way I could go out and explore with a shovel, shoulder permitting. No need to dig today, though. The teeth were laying all over the place, but were well disguised. Lets call it Aurora practice. That place is like the Olympics of fossil hunting and I am in training.
