A new spot

I was off today, so I hit some old areas for lack of any place better. I went back to the dank mud pit, but it was so grown over that it was pointless to go back. There is this big ditch behind there that a buddy of mine used to hit and find nice stuff, but when I went, there was still a little too much water to find anything. There was some nice layer down low, but when I would dig a hole, it would fill with water before I could find anything. I did see a cottonmouth, though, while I was there. Feeling discouraged, I drove up the road and hit another old spot. Nothing again, but I remembered while I was there that once I had ventured back into the woods and run across a creek. I didn't explore it back then because it was so overgrown. Today, I was desperate, so I decided to take a hike and see if I could run across it again. Sure enough, it was still there (after all, where would a creek escape to, anyway?) and to my surprise, it has incredible potential. I was really running short on time, so I didn't have time to really see what was there. I'll be back!
