My little brother finds a meg...

These two trips are actually from a few weeks ago. I go out to the newly dug trenches DW had told me about. I get down and start digging, but that nasty muck made it no fun digging for teeth, so I spent the rest of the day digging in the piles. I took my little brother with me and he found a nice 4+inch meg. I was almost sure I was going to get one too with all the meg fragments I was finding, but none turned up. When we were leaving a t-storm was starting to cover the area and I ended up driving through some hail at one point on the way home, but the down pour was hard and looking good. The next day I wake up around 6 AM because I wanted to be the first to hunt those piles after that hard rain. What do you know I’m the first to walk the piles, but I didn’t find any super heroes like I was expecting. It was still fun though being able to pick up a bunch of teeth and I took home about 40 pounds of whale bones. I’ll be going on vacation to Florida sometime next week for the rest of the summer. If I get a chance I’ll try to look for areas to hunt teeth while I’m there, but at the moment I’m going to try to get in a few more toothing trips here before I leave.
