Fossils falling from the skies

The lowcountry received a nice dose of rain this week, and the result was some good erosion in one of my favorite ditches. Its always a fun place to hunt because I always come home with something. Today was no exception. Besides for having one of those days where I got a bunch of teeth, I also had one of those days where I came away with some really nice onces. The best find of the day was just lying in the middle of the creek under a few inches of water in full view. Not really much eventful happened - it was just a great day hunting fossils!

A pretty good haul. Take a look at the great white in the center of the photo. Its triangular, without much root and sort of grey in color. The center has a divot taken out of it where it was bitten into by the shark during feeding. It may have even been swallowed and digested, considering the condition of the tooth.
