A hunting we will go...

Last Friday it rained really hard here, and the weezling was chomping at the bit to get out and find some fossils. Our rain gauge said we got between 2 and 3 inches of rain, and any time that happens there are fossil shark teeth to be found somewhere in the Lowcountry. Saturday morning we got up early and hit the yellow ditch. When we arrived it wasn't hard to see that the water never got very high - a necessary component to racking in the fossils. Still, the rain washed out a few decent things for us and we were happy we had a chance to hang out.

Ker-plunk! - 9/2/2009

Hey DW, play the video back, and this time, pay close attention to the "background" sounds after you pick up the Squalodon tooth and say "Ooo, it's got a crack, better be careful with that one". This happens at time 2:24 to approx 2:32 into the video. Right after you say "better be careful with that one", you hear a fairly loud "ker-plunk", almost as if you just tossed the tooth down inside an empty coffe can or something? I'm sure the sound was maybe something else, but I laughed my butt off the first time I was watching/listening to the video. Content Quality : 10 of 10
