Just Can't Get Enough Fossil Hunting

The weezling came home today and found out that Megamouth and I had not only gone fossil hunting without him, but also made another movie. I told him that life goes on here even when he is having fun somewhere else, but that didn't seem to help. Another trip to the creek was in order.

We went to a different part of the ditch than last time and though everything started off well, there were vast expanses of the creek with no fossils. And with the non-humidity corrected temperature at 95 degrees, trudging through sand against the current in the stream really sapped our strength. By the time we got back to the truck, all of us were out of water. This was our first and definitely our last trip to this stretch of the canal.

We made another movie, too. I'm really getting into the filming thing! It adds a new aspect to the trip reports that I enjoy. Sorry our special effects aren't up to par with Hollywood
