Another Trifecta Day!!!This past Saturday was the BRFC Aurora trip that my wife kicked my butt in. Not so on Sunday though. We decided to hit one of our spots that we haven’t hit up for awhile. With all the rain we have had in the past few weeks we had high hopes. Come to find out when we got there, there was footprints everywhere…..someone found our spot!!! But what can you do except to hunt and try it out anyways. There is almost always something there that was missed. My wife found the first great white after a couple of hours hunting with me finding nothing. Then about another hour after that I stumbled upon a nice Ric on a pedestal. (Sorry didn’t have the camera on me for this one) Then we were both getting fed up with not finding anything else so we decided to leave. My wife went one way and I went the other. Then just as we were about to meet up at the end of the pile I saw a nice Mako in the open. I put my bag down and started to get the camera out and looked over towards my wife and there it was just sitting in the open, the biggest Meg that I have ever found. I knew right away that it was at least 6 inches. I started to do the Meg dance I was so thrilled. Then we headed home and all I cold think about was if it made 6 inches or not. Then I got home and the first thing I did was measure the bad boy and found out it was 6 ¼”. I can’t wait for more rain so I can go back and find another one. Oh I almost forgot that I found another tooth but im not sure if its horse or not. I will post picks up after its done drying.
Until next time…….Good Luck Hunting!!!!!!
