The Dredged Ditch

A few weeks ago, I spied a freshly dredged ditch in the hood. I waited until it was pouring down rain, and then tha weezling and I went for a hunt. We found some teeth, mostly worn and broken, so nothing great. He found his first arrowhead a few feet from me. What a lucky break! Other than that, we were witness to the wasteland that this creek had become because of pollution. The dredge pulled 14 bicycles, 2 Television sets, a microwave, an air conditioner, hundreds of bottles and cans, and a computer monitor. The most unexpected find of the day was my son's. He walks up to me holding a DVD he found laying in the mire. "What's this, Dad?", he asked. I took a quick look and saw what was undoubtedly an adult dvd, immediately recognizable by all the Xs all over it. I didn't know what to say. I just kept saying "ummm...uhhh...its...ummm", and he interrupts, "Will this work in our computer? Can I take this home? When I found that net last year, you said I could keep it if I carried it. I think this is a video game. I'll carry it." I had to come up with something quick, and just then I spied another DVD or CD lying at my feet. "I bet I can throw this farther into the ditch than you." I said, and he launched his smutty find back into the ditch. I did my best lousy throw so he could have the small victory. Close call...

Despite the tremendous amount of trash at this place, I did manage to find a decent amount of teeth.
