At home in a pit

For a few weeks, my work schedule was really busy and I didn't have a chance to make a post, even though I went hunting a few times. This is one of those posts. I went out to one of my favorite spots with jedi master to pillage some prime oligocene real estate after some heavy rains. Some digging uncovered some fresh layer, and we were on it like serrations on a megalodon. It was a cold, miserable, rainy day and I was soaked within 30 minutes of arrival. My hands were shaking as I picked up teeth, but still I hunted with vigor. The rain hadn't eroded as much as we thought though, and pickings were slim. I learned a lesson about hunting the ashley formation though. He pointed out the region from that massive formation where the really cool stuff is found. We didn't come across anything awesome there, but my eyes are opened! I'm gonna find something good there soon. I was beat and freezing cold after 3 hours, though, so we left. I found a nice shell on the walk back to the truck.
