April 25 & 26

My girlfriend was going out of town this weekend and even though she was going to be missed, I was looking forward to spending all day Saturday and Sunday hunting for teeth. Friday night, lying in bed sleeping I dreamed of finding a monster. No joke, this really happened. Now I'm not claiming to be psychic or anything like that, it just shows how badly I wanted to find a big tooth. Saturday morning came and I was out the door thinking, man it would be nice if today were the day. After being in the new spot for about two hours and only finding mediocre teeth, there it was. I knew immediately it was only a half, but thought half a monster is better than no monster. The rest of the day was pretty uneventful. I was happy with the half but kept thinking how nice it would have been if it was whole. Sunday started like the day before, nothing but mediocre teeth. Then about 4:30, I saw about 1/4 inch of a tip sticking out of the ground and thought, that looks like it's from a big tooth. Man, was I right. As soon as it was set free and washed off, I knew that it was the missing piece from the day before. What are the chances of that? There was a good 15 or 20 feet between the two. I did a little dance to appease the shark teeth gods and started heading to my bookbag to lay it down. Within three or four steps, there was a 2.75 inch mako. I know my meg is broken in half and kind of beat up, but I'm still really happy about finding it. When the two pieces are put together, it measures out at 6.25 inches and is my biggest meg yet. The mako is also a personal best. I've never been into having things restored, but if it's not too expensive I might have the meg done. I have also include pix that show the rest of the haul

from Saturday and Sunday.
