Toothing in the 98th DEGREE SATURDAY morning was foggy and muggy. They were calling for temps in the mid 90s and 100% humidity. I think that equels out to feeling something like 136 degrees. The fog blocked the sun until around 2pm. I decided to go kayaking. The beach was crawling with people but I did get to meet bmore for the first time. The best thing there ended up being a squalodon tooth + a few ok makos.....nothing great. And by that I man no MEGS.
So around 3pm I arrived at the 2nd beach. Also crawling with people. I walked down and wasnt finding much until I saw a good size fall. UNTOUCHED. Im not going to say how but within 10 minutes I was the proud owner of a sweet 2 inch lower meg. I guess just luck. A guy with his shirt off had passed by and looked over when I gave the old woohoo. I was happy. So I followed in his direction and sitting against the cliff was a huge black and red mako. It had just came out of the fall I mentuned earlier. The red ended up just being matrix still attached to the fine tooth. I met another guy walking the beach and packed it in. And boy did I get a tan!
