A day of gemsI dropped Indiana off at his place and met tha duDe at my house. We
loaded up the bikes and headed off for Superpit. 10 minutes after
getting to the pit, I came upon the awesome little meg. I was already
beyond happy, I mean I had already done really well today. Now, I had a
little meg to boot. We dug all over, and as I was digging around the
area where I found the meg, I flipped up a decent great white. I knew it
had potential, but I didn't want to scrape off the mud while it was wet,
so I put it in its own little pocket to be cleaned up later. Little did
I know what I actually had until I got home and cleaned it up. It was an
absolute gem. Unbelievable preservation. Great tip,
steak knife serrations, awesome root, and sweet color. One of the best
carcharias teeth I've ever found! We split from there and headed to the
spot where they were dumping the dirt from superpit. Tha duDe found two
meg shamers - he didn't know they weren't intact until he dug them both
completely out. What a day I ended up having, though! There wasn't
time for Taco Bell because I had to get home quickly. I did some
other stuff, cleaned the teeth and sat there drooling over them for
about an hour. I've been carrying the teeth around in my pockets all
weekend! Then I had to go to Wal-mart to get some stuff for my wife's
birthday party on Sunday and I finally snatched the opportunity for some
bell at 11:00 pm. How sweet it is!

This is the view of a tooth that tha duDe found. We were all excited about it until we got it out - smashed tip! BUMMER! Still, it was such a great photo that I had to post it. |
